Replacement Roads constructed by Statkraft in Moglice, Albania, opened
Statkraft opened officially the replacement road in Moglicë, in presence of national and local authorities.
On Friday, 23nd of November, Statkraft officially opened Replacement Roads constructed in Moglice, Albania. The opening was celebrated with Energy Minister of Albania Damian Gjiknuri, Statkraft EVP International Power Jürgen Tzschoppe, and Norwegian Ambassador Per Sjaastad in the beautiful plateau of Nikollare village.
"I want to congratulate the team in Albania for the successful completion of the road construction works, which has been a major undertaking by Statkraft as part of our Devoll Project. With this project we have undertaken one of our largest investment in hydropower outside Norway, and we are contributing significantly to the energy landscape in the country”, stated EVP International Power Jürgen Tzschoppe.
In 2015, Statkraft took over the responsibility for constructing the Replacement Infrastructure impacted by the Devoll Hydropower Project, including the replacement of two impacted national road segments. In total 35 km of Replacement Roads were constructed, including 15 bridges. In total the Devoll project has constructed and refurbished more than 100 km of roads.
